Sizzlo Terms of Use

Last updated 30 October 2026

These terms cover your use of the Sizzlo app, which is made by Looseleaf LLC ("we"). By using Sizzlo you agree to them.

What Sizzlo is

Sizzlo helps you cook: it reads recipe photos, suggests dishes from what's in your fridge, estimates the nutrition of a meal from a photo, and answers cooking questions. It uses an AI service to do this.

Cooking, nutrition and health

Your account

Plans and coins

Sizzlo is free to try. Creating an account costs nothing, and an account that has not bought anything uses the free preview: the app itself, keeping up to 3 saved recipes, one cookbook, 30 things in your kitchen and 15 on your shopping list, with two coins of AI, once per person, which never refill (the first fridge scan and recipe usually spend them). Deleting an account and making a new one with the same email does not give them back. When you reach one of those limits, Sizzlo shows the plans. Sizzlo Core is the one-time purchase that takes the limits off for good, and the two subscriptions add the AI features on top.

A free-preview account that is not used for 60 days is deleted, with everything in it. If you allow notifications, Sizzlo reminds you on your phone a week before. An account that has bought a plan is never deleted this way.

AI features run on coins. One coin is one AI request: a photo analyzed, a recipe generated, a question asked. Everything else in the app (your fridge and pantry, barcode scanning, your shopping list, saved recipes, and importing a recipe from a link) costs no coins and works on every plan, and in the free preview up to its limits.

All of these are sold through the Apple App Store. The price shown in the app is the price you pay, in your local currency. That is the price that governs, not any figure quoted elsewhere.

Sending your list to a store

Send to store can put the items on your shopping list into a store's own service. It costs no coins.

Acceptable use

Use Sizzlo for cooking. Don't try to break it, resell it, use it to generate content unrelated to food, or use it in a way that breaks the law. We may suspend an account that abuses the service or its coin allowance.

Content

Recipes, photos and messages you put into Sizzlo remain yours. You give us permission to process them so the app can work. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what that involves. AI-generated recipes are produced for you on request; we make no claim of ownership over them and no guarantee they are original or accurate.

Copyright complaints

Sizzlo hosts what you save for your own use, not a public feed, but if you believe something in the app infringes a copyright you hold, write to sizzlobusiness@gmail.com and we will take it down.

A notice needs: what work you say is infringed, where in Sizzlo the copy is, how to contact you, a statement made in good faith that the use is not authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are the owner or act for them, and your physical or electronic signature. We may pass the notice to the account that saved the material, and they may send a counter-notice under § 512(g). Accounts that repeatedly infringe are closed.

No warranty, and limits

Sizzlo is provided "as is". We do our best, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, accurate, or free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Apple

If you got Sizzlo from the App Store, your use of it is also covered by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms are between you and Looseleaf LLC, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Sizzlo or its content.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change we'll say so in the app. Continuing to use Sizzlo after a change means you accept the new terms.
